Shane Barrett
Creative Director
Shane Barrett is the Creative Director and chief songplugger for ole in Nashville. Having joined ole as an independent plugger in 2005, Shane was promoted to full-time Creative Director in January, 2006. In that time he has helped the company to establish a dynamic presence on Music Row, while overseeing cuts with artists such as George Strait, Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Kristy Lee Cook, Jessica Harp, Craig Morgan, Jason Michael Carroll, Chris Cagle, Ronnie Milsap, Shawn King/Willie Nelson, Richie McDonald, Gary Allan, Crossin’ Dixon, Tara Oram and Doc Walker.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Shane moved to Nashville in 1985 to attend Belmont University, where he graduated with a Music Business degree. After a stint on the road as a touring sideman/guitarist, Shane joined MCA Records Nashville in 1994, working as Senior Manager of A&R for famed producer and former MCA president Tony Brown. Prior to joining ole, Shane represented several notable writers and publishing companies, securing hit singles on Faith Hill and Kenny Rogers.
