TORONTO, ONTARIO (March 9, 2017) – ole, the world’s fastest-growing independent music publishing and rights management company, announced today it has signed an exclusive worldwide co-publishing and administration deal with urban music producer-songwriter Destyn Hill.
“Destyn is an ideal producer-songwriter for the team at ole,” said Jennifer Essiembre, Sr. Manager, Creative at ole. “His distinctive production style, creative drive and ambitious personality fits right into what we’re trying to accomplish in the pop and urban space. Together, we expect to achieve amazing things in 2017.”
“From day one, I knew ole’s close-knit family of writers was a perfect fit and I’m excited to continue my musical journey with such a superb team,” said Hill. “On top of working with Jennifer and Dave Weitzman who have made ole feel like home from the first meeting, coupled with the creative and collaborative atmosphere, I know we’re going to achieve even more success in the future.”
A native of New Jersey, Destyn began his career in the music business as a member of R&B group NJ5ive, performing on MTV, BET, and opening for artists like Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Omarion. Recognizing his natural talent for songwriting, Destyn continued to build on his craft and quickly became a sought-after collaborator in New York. Shortly after NJ5ive disbanded in 2010, Destyn began working with fellow New Jersey native and multi-platinum breakthrough artist Fetty Wap, landing a cut, “Whateva” on Fetty Wap’s highly celebrated, eponymous debut album. Today, Destyn continues to build momentum recording with major label artists such as Kid Ink, Oskama, Sevyn Streeter, Monty, Wolf Tyla and Joe Thomas.
