ole Signs The Merrymen

ole is delighted to be associated with the Merrymen and Treasure Island Publsihing, one of the oldest music publishing companies in the Caribbean. Headed by the legendary Derek Wilkie, Treasure Island Publishing has signed an administrative agreement with ole for the administration of an extensive catalogue of songs by the Merrymen and Spice & Company.

The Merrymen first came to the attention of the world during Montreal's EXPO 67 and have since toured extensively playing venues such as Royal Albert Hall in London and Maddison Square Gardens in New York. The Merrymen have recorded 36 albums containing songs like "Big Bamboo" that reached #1 in multiple territories. Their songs have been used extensively in movies and television programs.

Spice & Company are the sons of the Merrymen and have been described as "taking over" the role as musical ambassadors for the music of the Caribbean.
