ole has reached a deal with veteran Nashville artist and writer Richie McDonald to purchase the majority of his catalogue of about 250 songs and administer certain newer copyrights. He is best known as the former lead singer of the band Lonestar.

Expanding its co-ownership and administration agreement with Cookie Jar Entertainment, ole now administers retransmission royalties for Cookie Jar.

Roots Three Music's Doc Walker ended 2009 in a big way when their single "Beautiful Life" won SOCAN's Country Music Award. Their momentum started at the beginning of the year by taking part in the Official Winter Olympics Celebrations, performing on January 5th and 7th at the Olympic Torch Runs in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.

Universal recording artist and ole/Tanjola writer Shiloh recently spent a week in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg, writing songs for a major German feature film in collaboration with ole/tanjola writer and producer Justin Forsley and BMG Germany's Alex Geringas. The film's title remains a secret until its release in the summer of 2010, and is expected to garner a massive tween audience.

ole‘s Toronto Office hosted their annual Christmas Party at Toronto's newest supper club, The Roosevelt Room on Friday, December 18th. Lighthouse's "One Fine Morning" will be featured on Carlos Santana's Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through The Hits album as a previously unissued cover recording by the artist. The album, set for release on February 16, includes smash hits spanning five decades by one of the most consistently best-selling catalogues in modern recording history. Another Steven Lee Olsen cut, "Broken Tonight," performed by Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren and featuring singer Van Velzen reached No. 36 on the Top 40 chart in the Netherlands.

Roger Springer's "Dancing In Circles" by Love & Theft broke Top 40 on Mediabase the first week of January. A video for the song was released December 14th. Love and Theft will hit the road with country superstar Tim McGraw this year.

SOULmate by Juno Award-winning R&B act Jacksoul, features 10 new songs written by the band's late lead singer, Haydaine Neale. The album was released not long after the singer's death in November 2009 and features the single "Lonesome Highway." The album is the band's first since 2006; with proceeds benefitting the Haydain Neale Family Trust.

After a temporary stint with ole, Kathryn Gatto has assumed the position of Office Coordinator in Toronto. Her responsibility for day-to-day functions extends to the Los Angeles and Nashville offices, as well.
