CO-VENTURES

ole, Last Gang Extend Partnership

The recent success and growing exposure of Vancouver pop band Mother Mother has led ole to continue its fruitful co-venture with Toronto's Last Gang Publishing.

The co-venture has spurred the success of Mother Mother, which has gained recognition through exposure in TV and film. The band's song "Wrecking Ball" was recently featured on the radio show "Free Radio," and "Hayloft" was included on a BCBG retail drop card and is being played in stores across the U.S.

ole and Last Gang are bringing their collective expertise to bear in developing recently signed acts Magneta Lane and Silver Starling. Female trio Magneta Lane will soon release its third album, "Gambling With God," and have toured extensively around the world. Silver Starling is the project of vocalist/producer Marcus Paquin (Stars, Torngat, Arcade Fire), Zeroes drummer Liam O'Neil, and Marika Anthony-Shaw (Arcade Fire), Peter X (Parkside Jones, Sevens Project), and Gab Lambert (Marathon). Their self-titled debut on Last Gang Records in the fall.

"ole's support has been integral to the growth of Last Gang as a publishing company but also as an overall brand," says Chris Taylor, founder and president of Last Gang. "ole adds extra muscle, support and promotion to our Last Gang acts."
