Roots Three's Steven Lee Olsen Picks Up Speed

Country singer Steven Lee Olsen's star continues to rise in his third year with ole partner Roots Three Music.

"Steven Lee is really coming into his own as a writer," says Roots Three founder and President Ron Kitchener. "I am continually impressed with his diversity. We have been able to place him in co-writing situations with writers of all genres and in different locations — L.A, Stockholm and London — and the results are impressive.

The "Introducing Steven Lee Olsen" campaign has included a Top 20 single on country radio in Canada, a hit video on CMT, a successful 12-week subscription series created with video performances of songs he has written or covered, and a four-week tour of Canada as part of the recent CMT on Tour project. He also has a four-song EP up on iTunes.

"The R3/ole venture has been significant to his artist development and allowed Steven to grow as an artist to this current level," Kitchener says. "The writing opportunities and confidence will allow him to move to further levels as we proceed."

Olsen is pursuing the recent successes of his tour-mates, who have earned significant radio play and CMT nominations. ole and Roots Three entered into a partnership to develop and promote Nashville artists in 2006.
