Series of deals expands ole's reach

ole has completed several major deals this summer, including new partnerships with Cookie Jar Entertainment and Scholastic.

Aggressively pursuing opportunities to expand its global reach and potential revenue streams, ole has inked multiyear deals with infomercial publisher, Northern Lights and industry veteran, Jack Lenz.

"Northern Lights is an admin deal; and we've had a long-standing deal with Jack - we co-own his catalog," says CEO Robert Ott. "He's segued from being a composer for TV and film music to being a bona fide television producer."

Ott notes that the deals are an outgrowth of ole's growing areas of expertise; the firm has built knowledge of the infomercial business through its involvement with composers from that sector. "The more people we represent," he notes, "the more oversight we have over the general environment with regard to payment. It indicates a certain level of audit power that benefits our clients as well."

Lenz became more widely known in the United States for his work on Mel Gibson's 2004, "The Passion of the Christ".
