CO-VENTURESShiloh Earns 2 MMVA Nominations
ole /tanjola artist Shiloh's star continues to rise with a pair of nominations – for Pop Video of the Year and New Artist – at the Much Music Video Awards in June. "The fact that she was nominated without even having an album out yet is pretty incredible," notes Elizabeth Spear, ole Senior Creative Manager. Shiloh, who entered into a co-publishing deal with ole through its co-venture partner tanjola in June, 2008, is already working on songs for her second album; her first album, "Picture Imperfect," is due out on August 18. Shiloh shared the stage with major pop acts Nickelback, Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga and performed her first single, "Operator (A Girl Like Me)." The budding artist, who celebrated her 16th birthday earlier this year, has been kept busy with a songwriting trip to Nashville, performances for music supervisors, a Disney showcase in Los Angeles, promotional duties for her label Universal Republic, and also contributed the theme song to the upcoming TV show "Majority Rules." The show, to begin airing on Canada's Teletoon network in September, will feature more of Shiloh's songs as well as other promotions. |
