Top Cuts and Placements for July

Taylor Swift's "Teardrops On My Guitar," co-written by Liz Rose, was included in more than 7 million McDonald's Happy Meals as a featured release by Kidz Bop. The song is also featured on the Wal-Mart exclusive DVD documenting Swift's recent CMT Crossroads performance with Def Leppard in Nashville. The song was acquired through ole's purchase of the Jody Williams catalogue in 2008. ole represents Rose's portion of the copyright for this SESAC Awards-wining song, a chart-topping single in 2007.
"Somewhere In This World" by ole composer Tebey has become a Top-10 single for Japanese R&B artist Misia. The track is also featured in a commercial for cosmetics company Kose there.
Haydain Neale co-wrote "After Tonight," the first single on Indie artist Justin Nozuka's album, "Holly," recently released in Australia following its success in the U.S. and Canada.
British singer Carmen Reece released her debut single "Right Here," co-written with ole producer Mark Feist and Wayne Hector. Feist, who has worked with Beyonce Knowles and Celine Dion, is credited with launching Reece's career. Reece, 22, has been writing with Feist and Hector over the past year.
Country artist and ole writer Willie Mack released his sophomore record "The Journey" in Canada. His new single "Love Like That" cracked the Top 30. ole controls every track on the album.
"S.O.S. (Let The Music Play)," on American Idol-winner Jordin Sparks's new album, "Battlefield," was co-written by ole's David Kopatz. It will be the second single on the album, which was released July 21.
Five ole cuts appear on country singer/songwriter Brad Johner's July 7 release "Lookin' at You," (On Ramp/EMI) including the first single of the same name.
Country band, Doc Walker, part of the Roots Three Music co-venture has released the single "Coming Home" from its upcoming album "Coming Home" (Open Road/Universal) due out Aug. 25. The band was also nominated for another CCMA fan's choice award this year.
Mother Mother's "Hayloft" was featured in a promotion by young women's clothier BCBG/Max Rave. The song was made available with 60,000 redeemable download cards issued in the U.S. and Puerto Rico as a gift with purchase. The song, from the band’s second album "Oh My Heart," was also played in BCBG stores. Meanwhile, ole successfully dug deeper into the band's past work to place the song "Legs Away" from Mother Mother's first album, "Touch Up," in the upcoming film "Love And Other Impossible Pursuits" starring Natalie Portman and Lisa Kudrow.
