CCMA's Honour ole with Third-Straight Publisher of Year Award

For the third year running, ole was named Music Publisher of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) in Vancouver on September 13th. ole songs also helped Taylor Swift, Doc Walker and Tara Oram win big during the live telecast award celebration. Swift's album "Fearless," containing three ole copyrights, was named Top Selling Album.

"ole is very pleased to have been chosen Music Publisher of the Year, once again this year," says ole Chairman and CEO, Robert Ott. "Success begins when a great song meets a great artist performance. ole is the first half of that equation. We are committed to working with our songwriters to contribute hit songs that resonate globally and stand the test of time."

ole/Roots Three band, Doc Walker, earned awards for Group or Duo of the Year (for their hit "Coming Home,") Website of the Year and Guitar Player of the Year (honoring their guitarist, Murray Pulver); in addition, the debut album by Tara Oram-featuring five ole copyrights, including the hit single "Go To Bed Angry"—won the Rising Star Award.

"We thought last year was big enough with Doc Walker winning six awards," says Roots Three founder and President, Ron Kitchener. "This year just transformed the entire company and all the talent we are fortunate to represent. ole has been extremely supportive, and both companies partner very well. We are looking forward to an even more successful 2010 with new talent such as Steven Lee Olsen and Tara Oram on the horizon."

The feeling was echoed by new ole President, Michael McCarty: "Our prominent presence underscored ole's status as a major force in Canadian country music. We were well represented on most of the other nominees' albums, and even among performers at the New Artist Showcase and FanFest."

ole writers and artists were part of some of the biggest hits of the year, including Taylor Swift's No. 1 album, "Fearless." Swift has recently been in the studio to record new songs for a special fall re-release of the hit album, entitled 'Fearless: The Deluxe Platinum Edition,' which brings two new ole songs—"SuperStar" and "Come In With The Rain"-to the package.
