New ole President McCarty Hits the Ground Running

Since joining ole as President over the summer, Michael McCarty has already seen the fast-rising music publisher score big wins at the 2009 CCMA's, including the company's third straight Publisher of the Year honour.

Coming to Toronto-based ole after his tenure as President of EMI Music Publishing Canada, one of McCarty's early priorities was visiting ole's offices in Nashville and Los Angeles to get to know the staff, writers and clients within film, television, advertising and music in general.

"I've hit the ground running and have been enjoying every minute of it," says McCarty. "The staff at ole have really supported my transition and welcomed me every step of the way. I'm hoping to help grow their already outstanding repertoire of catalogues and writers with even more phenomenal talent; it's an exciting time."
