ole Acquires Ownership Stake in Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Bobby Brown and BLACKStreet Songs

A recent agreement sees ole with an ownership stake in six songs from Michael Jackson's Dangerous album ("Jam," "Why You Wanna Trip On Me," "She Drives Me Wild," Remember The Time," "Can't Let Her Get Away," and "Dangerous"), BLACKStreet's #1 hit "No Diggity" (featuring Dr. Dre) and the Bobby Brown and Britney Spears hit "My Prerogative."

The Grammy-winning Jackson album was released in 1991 and has sold over 14MM copies worldwide. The singles "Remember The Time" reached #3 on the U.S. and UK charts and "Jam" reached Top 30 in the U.S. and Top 15 in the UK.

BLACKStreet's 1996 release of "No Diggity" featuring Dr. Dre reached #1 in the U.S. and Top 10 in the UK. The song won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals as well as a nomination for Best R&B Song. The song ranked #32 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the '90s.

The Bobby Brown single release of "My Prerogative" was a #1 U.S. hit in 1988, reaching Top 10 in the UK; with a 1995 remix of the song charting Top 20 in the UK. The song is considered a New Jack Swing anthem and has been covered by many artists including Britney Spears on her Greatest Hits: My Prerogative 2004 release. The video for Spears version of the song was chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as the best music video of 2004.

The agreement is retroactively effective January 1, 2009.
