ole's Pro-activity and Connections Foster Success Of Song "Two Forevers" ("Dos Eternidades")

Latin Grammy-nominated singer Ednita Nazario knows a good song when she hears one. While choosing songs for her latest Sony album, Soy, she took note of a tune co-written by ole Chief Creative Officer Gilles Godard. The path the song took to landing on a top-selling album demonstrates ole's strategic and proactive approach to achieving placements for our writers and songs.

Soy, released October 26th, 2009, reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Album charts in the first two weeks of its release.

Godard penned "Two Forevers" with Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, longtime Backstreet Boys' writer, Andrew Fromm, and Nicole Witt. The song, which tells of lovers needing more than one lifetime to express their emotions, has "such a huge melody it sounds like it could be in a movie, an epic," notes Godard.

Godard says Carter had hoped to record the song, but the Backstreet Boys' latest album had already been finalized. So, Godard played the song for fellow writer Chris Zalles who agreed to adapt the lyrics in Spanish and play it for Nazario.

"Gilles had heard some of my other work in adapting songs," Zalles recalls. "The thing about country music and Latin is that they're normally not a good fit, but in this case, the song had everything. I knew I could do something with it; the message was very strong and it worked like a charm. Ednita was so taken by it, she recorded an English version as well," (the bonus version will appear on a special bonus release available via Amazon).

ole continues to pitch the song to a number of Latin soaps and is aggressively seeking feature film placements.
