ole/Peace Arch Relationship Generates Non-Core Asset Revenue

Peace Arch Entertainment Group, a leader in the production and acquisition of feature films and television programs for worldwide distribution, signed a publishing rights administration deal with ole just over two years ago. That was December of 2007. In the time since, the two companies have forged a relationship that has allowed Peace Arch to turn their non-core music publishing royalty history into core production financing.

As John Flock was promoted to President and CEO of Peace Arch in the summer of 2009, he suggested that the retrenchment of many of the company's competitors actually presents an extraordinary opportunity for Peace Arch to grow its core business of feature film and television distribution while continuing to look for strategic growth opportunities in ancillary businesses.

"It is a pleasure to have a partnership with ole," says Peace Arch Entertainment Group CFO, Mara Di Pasquale. "Their professionalism, commitment and depth of experience contribute to the positive revenue generation of our non-core assets worldwide. We can always count on ole to deliver quality results!"

A Toronto-based company with offices in Los Angeles and Vancouver, the Peace Arch production division develops and produces feature films, scripted television series, mini-series, movies-for-television, factual and lifestyle series and documentaries. They have had enormous recent success with their award-winning drama The Tudors, which aired on Showtime in the U.S., where it premiered to a record audience, and the CBC in Canada. Their lifestyle series' Last Ten Pounds Boot Camp and Bulging Brides both air on FLN in the U.S. and Slice in Canada. In-house productions like these, along with new film and television programming acquired from outside producers and their own existing library of approximately 800 films and 200 hours of television programming, have enjoyed great international distribution success for the company.
