ole/tanjola Writer Shiloh Turns Heads As Cover Girl

This month, Universal recording artist and ole/tanjola writer, Shiloh, is sure to attract attention at newsstands across the country as she graces the cover of Faze, Canada's number one teen magazine. The head-and-shoulder image is striking, the result of a full-on fashion shoot that also resulted in a series of evocative portraits that accompany the insightful profile by writer Dana Marie Krook with photographs by Mario Miotti inside and will provide the cover for her next album due out later this year.

Fans will already know about the huge importance that the young singer-songwriter places in giving back. She regularly makes donations to charities like World Vision from her concerts and, as she told Krook, she's unwavering in her belief that "it's a part of everyone's responsibility to do something." Referring to her recent collaboration with Chantal Kreviazuk and Lucas from The Kliks on a song for War Child called "People Have the Power," she noted that the track speaks to the reality that the choice is ours: to either make an effort to change the world, or complain and do nothing."

Shiloh's career continues on an upward trajectory fuelled by writing skills that she is constantly honing in collaborations with artists like Dave Faber of Faber Drive, Jeff Dalziel, Tawgs Salter, Simon Wilcox and ole/tanjola writer and producer Justin Forsley, with whom she recently spent time in Germany writing songs for a major German feature film set for release this summer. She has a writing trip to Vancouver and Los Angeles in the planning stages but, in the meantime, she'll be heading out to Edmonton to appear at the 5th annual Birthday Bash for Edmonton's number one hit music radio station, 91.7 The BOUNCE, where her career got its initial boost as she won a radio contest there at the age of 13.

Her song, "Raise A Little Hell Now," which was recently showcased along with her photo in Billboard Magazine, was one of the featured songs used by CTV as part of its 2010 Olympic Winter Games coverage during which the network mixed highlights of the Games with "inspiring tunes by Canadian artists." The songs are compiled on iTunes as Music of the Nation.
