ole Involved In Four Out Of Five International Album JUNO Nominations

In an unprecedented accomplishment for a Canadian independent company, ole is affiliated with four of the five International Album of the Year nominations at this year's JUNO Awards including those for Taylor Swift's Fearless, Black-Eyed Peas' The E.N.D., Britney Spears' Circus and Susan Boyle's I Dreamed A Dream. The 11 total nominations mark the company's best ever showing at the JUNO's.

ole has five songs on Taylor Swift's Fearless album co-written by Liz Rose including "Fearless," "White Horse," the Grammy winner for Best Country Song, and "Tell Me Why," as well as SuperStar" and "Come In With the Rain" on the platinum edition of the album. Britney Spears' Circus album contains ole songs "Mmm Papi" by Adrien Gough, Peter John Kerr and Henry Walter, through the ole/Last Gang Publishing joint venture, and "Kill the Lights" by James Washington (aka Jim Beanz) through the ole/BMG Rights Management sub-publishing deal. The songs "Party All the Time" on the Black-Eyed Peas album The E.N.D. and "Amazing Grace" (the arrangement) on Susan Boyle's I Dreamed A Dream album are through ole's sub-publishing arrangement with Bucks Music Ltd.

Other ole-affiliated nominations include two in the Country Album of the Year category: The Road Hammers, with their Road Hammers II set, which contains five songs by two ole writers including "Cowboy 'Til I Die," "Goodbye Dust," and "A Girl Who Loves To Truck" by Willie Mack and "I've Got The Scars To Prove It" and "Homegrown" by Larry Haack, and Doc Walker's Go album with songs under the ole/Roots Three joint venture. Nominations for New Artist of the Year: Shiloh; Dance Recording of the Year: "Runnin'" by Doman and Gooding featuring Dru & Lincoln and written by Rupert Gayle and Dru; and R&B/Soul Recording of the Year: Lonesome Highway by jacksoul, featuring the late Haydain Neale, fall under the ole/tanjola joint venture. ole/Last Gang songwriter Jasper Gahunia has three songs on the k-os album Yes including "Astronaut," "Gotham City" and "Fun," which was nominated as Rap Album of the Year. ole has sync representation on The Trews' DVD Friends & Total Strangers nominated as Music DVD of the Year.
