INTERNATIONAL REPORTole Acquires Leona Lewis, Crosstown Songs Catalog For Canada via BMG Rights Management
The Leona Lewis deal includes her future songwriting as well as the songs from her multi-platinum sophomore album, Echo. Lewis, who came to international prominence following her 2006 X Factor win in the U.K., recorded the theme song for the 2009 science fiction film Avatar titled I See You (Theme from Avatar) which was nominated for Best Original Song at the 67th Golden Globe Awards. A Leona Lewis world tour for later this year is currently in the planning stages. ole will sub-publish the sizeable catalog of Crosstown Songs in Canada. With headquarters in Los Angeles, Crosstown Songs is a leading independent music publishing company holding the rights to over 8000 songs, including new copyrights featured on some of the top-selling albums of the past two years.
