ACQUISITONS

Promising Young Songwriter Ryan Tyndell Signs With ole

The deal reunites Tyndell with ole Senior Creative Director Arthur Buenahora, who had previously worked with the young writer shortly after he arrived in Nashville about seven years ago as a member of the bluegrass band, Cadillac Sky, and was looking to launch a solo career. "I just really thought he was great... very fresh," recalls Buenahora. "He wasn’t doing what everyone else was and that got me excited." Buenahora was instrumental in hooking Tyndell up with prolific songwriter and noted producer Brett Beavers (Dierks Bentley) who, as it turns out, actually came from the same East Texas town of Jacksonville as Tyndell.

Among the artists with cuts by Tyndell are The Lost Trailers ("Blacktop Road"); Jedd Hughes; Sonny Burgess; Canadian artists Aaron Pritchett and Shane Yellowbird; and Clay Walker, who included "Where Do I Go From You" on his latest album set for release on June 8. This summer, as part of a theatrical fellowship program, Tyndell has a country musical opening in Williamstown, Massachusetts on July 19th called Western Country for which he co-wrote all the music.

"I’m really looking forward to working with ole," says Tyndell. "They’re innovative and full of fresh ideas, they’ve got a great staff and they’re very connected. The first song I turned in [a co-write with fellow ole writer Charlie Worsham], they got a very strong hold on for the new album from one of Nashville’s biggest artists. They seem to really believe in me and they seem to get things done."
