ole at Billboard/AdWeek Music & Advertising Conference in New York
ole's Senior Creative Manager Elizabeth Spear and Senior Director Brand Management Connie McNaughton were among the 300-plus participants at the second annual Billboard and AdWeek-sponsored Music & Advertising Conference held at New York's Edison Ballroom in mid-June. Keynote speakers included Kid Rock and the group Devo while a stellar list of panelists, including ole's Spear, who hosted a well-attended interactive panel discussion on music publishing which touched on topics ranging from contracts and licensing to sync fees and administration, effectively fulfilled the confab's mandate to "explore how the worlds of music and advertising are intertwined, and examine how big brands, artists and music supervisors are benefiting from working together." The two-day conference was launched in 2009 and, as Jason Lipshutz of Billboard points out:
"...focuses on the lucrative and creative nexus between music and the brands space: what deals are working, how to get you music into brand campaigns, who the players are in the space - and more."
Rock & Roll wild child Kid Rock chats with Billboard Editorial Director Bill Werde about his successful brand relationship with Jim Beam, his brash and bold career and his upcoming album, at the second annual Billboard & AdWeek Music & Advertising Conference during which ole's Elizabeth Spear hosted a well-attended panel on music publishing.
