Bucks/ole songcamp, featuring Island Def Jam, Hosts 35 International Songwriters to Craft a Body of great songs!ole and U.K.-based Bucks Music Group, two of the world's largest independent music publishers, were co-hosts of a unique writing initiative to craft hit singles at the recent Bucks/ole songcamp in London (May 17-21). This effort united 35 songwriters for five-days of networking and collaboration with the goal of creating new hit material.

ole Signs Talented Writer/Musician, Charlie Worsham

ole Acquires Blacktop Music Group Publishing CatalogA native of Grenada, Mississippi, such were Worsham's early musical abilities that by the time he was 10, he was playing banjo with bluegrass legend Jimmy Martin at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Two years later, he played the Grand Ole Opry with Opry member Mike Snider. He headed for Boston in 2004 to study at the Berklee College of Music, as he continued to develop as a musician, vocalist and songwriter.

For the fifth year, ole, along with sponsorship partner ASCAP, were at the heart of the celebrations as part of the 15th annual Key West Songwriters Festival, one of the biggest events of its kind in the world. Once again, it was a welcome opportunity for ole to support the Nashville songwriter community and to enable ole songwriters to be part of "A"-list collaborations in a conducive, creative environment.

Holland-based Walboomers recording artist Ehsan has cut the ole/Dave Kopatz song "Same Spot" for his forthcoming album. The song was co-written with Mike City and Iain James during ole's 2nd annual pop + urban Songcamp in Hollywood.

Billy Currington has cut the ole/ Marty Dodson song "Let Me Down Easy" for his forthcoming release.

Bucky Covington's ole single "A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How)," continues to climb the charts: Billboard up from # 38 to # 36, Mediabase up from # 36 to # 35, Music Row up from # 30 to # 24.

For Whitney Taylor, Executive Assistant to ole Chief Creative Officer, Gilles Godard, and Office Manager at ole's Nashville headquarters, music publishing was always a likely career choice. She loves music and at an early age, back in her hometown of Greenville, South Carolina, indulged that passion by singing and making music in church and on stage. But, her parents were both successful in the business world and that also colored her ambitions for the future.

Gilles Godard, ole's CCO, was one of only a handful of special guests at Liz Rose's private wedding ceremony held last month at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas during the Academy of Country Music Awards weekend.

ole's Qiana Conley, Sean Mulligan and Gilles Godard pictured at the ASCAP Pop Awards held at the Renaissance Hollywood Grand Ballroom on May 21st.
