Gord Bamford Puts Some ole On It: Signs Worldwide Music Publishing Deal

ole has signed star country artist/songwriter, Gord Bamford to a multi-album, worldwide music publishing deal. In the agreement, ole also acquires Bamford’s prior song catalogue. The deal, which includes notable copyrights “Blame It On That Red Dress,” “Little Guy,” “Drinkin’ Buddy,” “Put Some Alcohol On It” and “Hank Williams Lonesome,” also includes songs on future recordings.

Ryan Tyndell’s Ride On ole ‘Magic’ Bus Produces One of the Top 50 Songs of 2011

One day spent on the inaugural test run of ole’s “Write Where U R” tour Bus last year by ole writer Ryan Tyndell and recording artist/writer Eric Church resulted in a collaboration on the songs “Springsteen” and “Keep On,” which have helped power Church’s third studio album Chief to an impressive number one debut on Billboard’s Hot 200 album chart, a number one album on Canada’s Top Selling Country Album chart and a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. It was certified gold in October of last year and as of early January 2012 had sold over 532,000 copies in the U.S.

ole/tanjola’s Justin Forsley Provides Soundtrack For ‘Life With Boys’

Toronto-based ole/tanjola songwriter and producer Justin Forsley, who wrote the theme song and underscore for the Nelvana Studio-produced live-action comedy, Life With Boys, will soon be able to hear the results of his work even further afield as it goes on international release following its premiere on Corus Entertainment’s YTV in Canada in early September of 2011.
