> Search Tips
- Use the keyword box for any kind of search you would like to do (ex. by artist, song title, songwriter, theme, etc.)
- To find an exact artist name, song title or phrase use beginning and end quotes, like you would in a Google search (ex. "I Love You").
- If you are looking for songs that sound like another band or artist, type their name into the search bar and sound alike results will display.
- Use the singular form of the word (ex. "boy" instead of "boys").
- If a certain keyword search is not producing results, try another keyword that means the same thing or is similar.
- You can also try searching with lyrics by putting words or phrases in parentheses ( ).
- The more search criteria you select, the smaller your list of results will be.
- If your search doesn't return enough songs, try using fewer search criteria.
- If your results are too broad, try using more search criteria.
- Search results are sorted alphabetically by title.
- Click the song title in the first column to see more details about each song.
- If there are already results displayed from a previous search, click on the clear button before beginning a new search.
- You can only select one item from each dropdown menu. If you want to do multiple selections, use the keyword search instead.
> Creating Projects
- You must be a registered user of www.majorlyindie.com to create a project.
- When you find a song you like, click on the red plus sign next to the version you want to keep.
- The site will prompt you to name your project.
- You can keep several projects within the system and come back to access them any time.
