Debuting Monday May 4 on the ole website at www.majorlyindie.com is an instant, user-friendly, and complete e-tool for artists, producers, music supervisors, film directors and video game producers that need to locate and instantly license music from the ole catalogue for their creative and commercial projects.

is a powerful search engine using multiple criteria to search for music including genre, tempo, era and style. It’s available 24/7 and when you find the song you need you can begin the licensing online. You can even request a quote directly from your handheld or contact ole’s admin department directly. Whatever path you choose to begin the licensing process the goal is to deliver same-day clearance turnaround.

provides access to ole’s 40,000-plus songs - including such proven hits as Taylor Swift’s “White Horse;” the chart-topping Alannah Myles smash “Black Velvet”, crossover hit “I’m Already There”, Kelly Clarkson’s “Miss Independent”, “Sunny Days” by Lighthouse, “Once In A While” by Akon, and many more -- that are available for licensing.

According to Senior Creative Manager Elizabeth Spear, “You can stream audio directly from the site, even without being a registered user. You can customize your search for sync projects or for recording artists. You can create your own projects that you can e-mail to anybody you’re working with or you can contact our creative staff directly and we can send you some suggestions.”

A link in ’s left hand menu also provides information on any type of license, as well as forms to request quotes for syncs.

One of the innovative and “smart” functions of  is the ability to find a song in a similar style.

Spear explains, “If you search for a song by Dream Warriors you’ll get that selection and will also find songs that “sound like” or are similar to that song.

“We’re tagging criteria to all of the songs so that people can find what they’re looking for by lyrical theme, genre style, mood, tempo - pretty much anything.”

Internally,  also allows ole to provide superb customer service by providing up-to-the-minute information for ole staff in both Creative and Admin, offering greater transparency and effortless use.

“As staff, we’re able to use it as a full song database, in that we are able to see all of the shares, publishers and PRO information. Often, if we can, we help to facilitate the clearance with other rights holders to help you get the songs you want now,” Spear explains.

Newly branded under the olenow umbrella, musicnow is the first in a series of new initiatives designed to deliver practical, leading-edge e-tools to our Creative and Admin clients.
