Derek Brin is an international, multi-platinum, award winning producer and songwriter. He is also the owner of Fierce Music Entertainment, which specializes in urban, Caribbean and ethnic-orchestral music.

Derek was an in-house composer for seven years prior to starting his own company, and 2 years ago signed his first publishing deal with ole, Canada's largest independent music publisher. He has also been a contributing composer for TM Century's world renowned IMAGIO collection. He has scored over 750 hours of television, including the promo theme for Wild Discovery' (Discovery Channel), 'Blue Murder', ‘Cover Guy' (Out TV), and the 'Blue Streak' Soundtrack. Derek has also had many songs placed in prominent prime-time television series such as 'daKink in My Hair' (Global), 'So You Think You Can Dance' (FOX), and 'The Hills' (MTV). He also contributed to the first ‘Pokemon' soundtrack, which sold 2 million copies in U.S. alone and to the soundtrack for ‘Blue Streak'.

In addition to his screen media work, Derek has had several of his original works covered by major recording artists, such as Canadian Idol winners Ryan Malcolm and Kalan Porter, JUNO-award winning R&B group In Essence, soul superstar Jaheim (SonyBMG), and Australasian dance/pop star Che'Nelle (EMI). Derek's writing and production work with recording artists spans not only across North America, but internationally as well. Other prominent acts he's worked with are Keo, Puya, and Andreea b. (some of Romania's biggest pop stars), and Barbados Music Award winner Phillip 7.

Derek has also served as a programmer for heavyweights like Diane Warren, Guy Roche, Jud Friedman, Allen Reich, Dan Hill and Jorgen Elofsen, plus has written with Balewa Muhammad from The Clutch, Trakaddix, Ru Paul, Siedah Garrett, Mischke and many others.
