Kim McLean, formally known as Kim Patton or Kim Patton-Johnston is a singer-songwriter originally from Greensboro, North Carolina. Influenced by her grandmother, Sara Van McCoy McKinney McLean Redman, a songwriter, roadhouse pianist, and program director of a Southern Gospel radio station, McLean moved to Nashville to pursue a career in songwriting

Her songs have been recorded by such artists as Tim McGraw, Lee Ann Womack, Trisha Yearwood, and Gospel Song of the Year "Count Your Blessings" recorded by The Martins. This Grammy nominated songwriter's music has been featured on TV shows including JAG, West Wing, Hope and Faith, As the World Turns andEarly Edition.
