Everything you need to know about Clare Reynolds is in her songs. She thinks in feelings and sees the world in stories then puts those feelings into songs that make you feel like you’ve been understood.

Clare was born in a small seaside town on the east coast of Australia. She was a typical beach kid but fell in love with music and acting at an early age. This led her to the local theatre where she learnt the ropes and became immersed in what would become her craft. As a relative latecomer to structured music education, Clare began classical piano and voice lessons with a local teacher.

Clare went on to study classical voice and opera at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music at the tender age of 17 . However after graduating in 2003 a turning point occurred.. When the idea of songwriting as Clare puts it “was calling me”. She went on to spend every day for nearly 4 years working at this craft and in 2007 her debut album ‘Inside My Head’ was independently released.

‘Inside My Head’ gained critical acclaim and was swept up and placed in a montage on the US TV show, Private Practice. Another used in the trailer for the feature film, ‘Motherhood’ starring Uma Thurman, songs placed in the iconic Australian lifesaving program ‘Bondi Rescue’, while many tracks used for various shows in the USA and Australia.

The export success of ‘Inside My Head’ meant the Australian songstress spent much of the next few years travelling the world, playing to captive audiences, collaborating with other songwriters and recording her sophomore album, ‘Colour My Heart’. This took Clare through Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, London and Sweden.

These creative escapades and encounters helped Clare grow as a songwriter and it was one raining summers day she came to realize her passion and life long love is putting pen to paper to create songs.

“If I can wake up and write songs every day for the rest of my life, knowing I will continue to get better at my craft... Then I will die a very happy girl” If you ask Clare how she writes a song you’ll most likely hear, “It just fell out.” A songwriter who loves writing for other artists, who loves working on the marriage between music and film and who loves to perform her own songs, with a soulful ability, a perceptive insight into the inner workings of the world around her.

It’s a long way from the little girl who used to walk around her parents’ house on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast making up songs from imaginary conversations.

Clare now resides in Los Angeles, California, continuing to push herself in all aspects of her creative life. In recent months she has been working on projects with Alex Geringas (Kelly Clarkson, Kumi Koda), John Reid(Keith Urban, Westlife, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis), Rob Knox (Justin Timberlake, Timbaland), David Glass (Flo Rida), Drew Lawrence (Christina Perri), Billy Falcon(Bon Jovi), Eric Paslay (Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen).

2013 will also see her work on a film project, the theme song for ABC kids, music for a documentary, tracks for the pop world and the release of her third album, ‘My Raging Storm’ which is in final production now.
